Initial Exploration and Iterations
Von Miller
First up, VON MILLER, Outside Linebacker and Sack Specialist of the Denver Broncos. He was the character we experimented to find the right body style and approach for this "endless runner"-style game. Investigating games like Jetpack Joyride, we settled for a bigger head but really athletic body, but still in a fun, accessible style. Von's signature glasses were really fun to incorporate into the character.
Finally, one of the biggest considerations was SPEED. I convinced the team creating characters that were easily animated and rendered was the key to hitting our deadlines, even then, we'd be putting in some extra time, but the project was absolutely worth it and a total blast to be a part of.

Unordinary Mode
The next step in the process for each character is the UnOrdinary mode. Where the Character is placed in an Environment where they excel personally and creatively. Von's UnOrdinary mode places him on his Chicken Farm and our challenge was to create a Farmer version of Von that was fun and yet still portrayed him as strong, athletic, and fun.

TRAVIS KELCE
Our 2nd character is Pass Catching Extrodinaire, Travis Kelce, Tight End for the Kansas City Chiefs. With Von setting the template for the characters, this moved much faster and helped us pick up speed during this milestone.

JuJu Smith Schuster
Wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers and our Final Character that will be included in the game. (See below for additional characters that didn't make the cut for various reasons)

Marshawn Lynch (cut from the Game)
One of my all-time favorite players and personalities in professional sports, Marshawn could not be included in the game for various reasons, but I LOVED drawing him!!!!
